Thunderbird Gmail authentication problem:
- Open the Mozilla Thunderbird account.
- Click on your “Tools”menu and click on ‘Account Settings’
- On the left hand side, under your Account Name, choose ‘Server Settings’
- Under ‘Server Settings’, you have to go and change the following information as shown below:
- Now click on ‘Copies @ Folders’ in the left hand side of the ‘Account Settings’ window

- Click the ‘Edit’ button
- If you click on the ‘Edit’ button, you will see the ‘SMTP Server’ Window.
- At the ‘SMTP Server’ window. Fill in the information:
- Click ‘OK’ to confirm your changes and Click ‘OK’ again to close the ‘Account Settings’ window.
- Close Thunderbird and then re-start it.
